We decided on the way home from the Philippines, my first trip to Asia, to layover for 2 and a half days in Japan. Why not right? The contrast of the 80 degree (F) weather and poor conditions of small-town Philippines and the 40 degree (F) weather and high-tech insanity of Tokyo would be perfect, right?
